Inside maker Living Lab
The Inside Maker Living Lab builds on the experience of the Inside Maker for Kids methodology, developed and implemented over the past three years across diverse educational and territorial contexts in Brazil, expanding it into an ecosystem of research, social innovation, and co-creation that brings together children, educators, researchers, communities, universities, governments, and organizations.
Its journey across territories such as the Federal District, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Piauí, and Amazonas — including experiences in the Upper Rio Negro region, in São Gabriel da Cachoeira — demonstrates the methodology’s ability to engage with diverse realities, cultures, and knowledge systems.
Within the Living Lab, this experience evolves into structured cycles of awareness, investigation, collaboration, and experimentation, in which children participate as active agents alongside other stakeholders in the territory. Together, they investigate real-world challenges, generate knowledge, co-create ideas, and test solutions — bringing children’s perspectives and creativity into the collective process of shaping more sustainable futures.
