Experience teaches us where we come from. Purpose guides us in choosing where we want to go.”

Co-Founder, SY Sustainability

SY was born from a journey shaped by years of connecting people, governments, businesses, territories, resources, and ideas to address complex social and environmental challenges. It was also born from a question that continues to guide us: what kind of future are we helping to build through the choices we make today?

At the intersection of experience and purpose, strategy and sensitivity, leadership and care, SY comes to life — a company that turns accumulated knowledge and experience into pathways for organizations that share the ambition to create meaningful, positive, and lasting impact in the world.

From the experience of creating change comes the commitment to care for the future.

Roots of a Journey. Pathways to the Future.

My journey has been shaped at the intersection of strategy, sustainability, innovation, and social impact, guided by a conviction that has remained constant throughout everything I do: experience and knowledge find their true meaning when they are put at the service of transformation.

As an international relations professional, I have had the opportunity to work across different regions of Brazil and on international agendas, building extensive experience in strategic management, territorial development, resource mobilization, private social investment, monitoring and evaluation, cooperation, and institutional engagement. At the United Nations, I led initiatives focused on reducing vulnerability and building strategic alliances. In the public sector, I held leadership positions, including at the Executive Office of the Presidency of Brazil, where I worked on resource mobilization strategies, sustainable financing, and the management of large-scale projects.

My entrepreneurial journey in this field began before SY. For several years, through Iandé, I transformed accumulated experience into projects, methodologies, and strategies focused on sustainability, social impact, and territorial development. Iandé became an important space for building, experimenting, and evolving — connecting sectors, structuring solutions, mobilizing resources, and creating relationships across organizations and territories. SY grows from this story, not to replace it, but to give it new meaning and carry it forward, bringing together the lessons of a journey that has evolved alongside my own understanding of development and the future.

An important part of this path was also shaped in the Amazon, where working closely with diverse territories, communities, and knowledge systems profoundly expanded my understanding of sustainability. The Amazon taught me something essential: transforming a territory begins by listening to it — recognizing its knowledge, relationships, potential, and the people who shape it every day. This experience strengthened my belief in a model of development that does not begin with ready-made answers, but with the ability to co-create pathways grounded in local realities and connect them to broader knowledge, networks, resources, and opportunities.

My work has also expanded into education and social innovation. And as a mother of three, caring for future generations has brought an even deeper dimension to my commitment to the future. Today, I understand sustainability as more than a professional agenda. It is a choice about how we use what we know, the relationships we build, and what we choose to leave for those who come after us.

SY Sustainability was born from the convergence of all these experiences — the knowledge built over the years, the legacy of Iandé, the territories that have shaped my journey, and an increasingly conscious vision of the future. It is a new identity for a purpose that has matured over time: to put strategy, knowledge, connections, and the ability to turn ideas into action at the service of transformations that are meaningful, lasting, and capable of shaping a better future.

I invite you to discover SY. Bring us your challenge, your idea, or your purpose, and together we can understand its roots, co-create new pathways, and turn possibilities into impact — and impact into the future we want to build.
